New P2P "service" at CapitalOne360 is TERRIBLE

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have been a longtime customer with CapitalOne360 (even since before it was CapitalOne, ING Direct) and used the ACH money transfer to make personal payments with no problems for years. Sometime in the past six months or so they rolled out another money transfer system, still called "P2P' but it takes you our of CapitalOne's website to a third-party site.

This new "service" is just terrible: takes forever to access/sign in, you can't schedule a transfer for a later date so you have to go to the site on the same day you want the money to transfer, and it seems that nearly every time I try to use it the site is not working properly or is undergoing "maintenance," or some such.

The old standard ACH money transfer was so easy to use and worked great, this new system just sucks and I'm quite disappointed in CapitalOne for sending its customers to such a poorly designed and barely functioning third-party site just to do something as simple as a bank transfer! Thinking of closing my accounts with CapitalOne.

Capital One is garbage. I long for the days of ING.

Now they changed the whole website and it's terrible. Plus, there's no option for a check ledger for paper checks.

And no option for image upload to deposit a check from a computer.

Although regarding my last complaint, customer service told me it will be available in the future. But the whole interface is designed for a phone not a computer now, so it doesn't give enough info on each screen.

I agree, the P2P System is horrible and does not work most of the time, keep getting something is wrong error " So Helpful"

Please fix Capital One or moving to another bank.

CANNOT ACCESS MY $!!!!! Cap One 360 P2P Portal Doesn't Open

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have been an avid supporter of Capital One since 2005 (when it was ING), recommending dozens of people. Their P2P system was awesome until they changed it.

Now, the portal does not open while online viewing your other accounts. There is a message "We are sending you to the P2P Payment Portal," but the spinning circle will continue for 10 minutes with no access to the portal. They recommend you log onto yet another site to send the funds. Why a separate site?

If I have to look at balances, I need to close out & go back to the site with my balances. Spoke with customer service who insisted it was my computer blocking pop-ups. Incorrect. A Cap One manager could not get it to work on his computer or app.

They say it is submitted to IT, but it has been a week and still no response. Why does CapOne think they can hold hostage your funds?

After HOURS on the phone with Cap One, they finally told me about this separate site. Considering pulling my accounts & going to Ally, Discover or Synchrony.

Closing without a cause...even customer service knows not WHY?

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I would like to start a class action lawsuit against Capital One 360. They can't keep closing peoples accounts for running their business or taking care of their families without letting them know what is going on. I don't understand. Even customer service is not made aware of what is going on, and I can even see my bank statements. They have locked me out of everything. Closed the account. I fell victim to a scam. Have had my account and debit card breech back in the Fall of 2016 that happened on their watch, and now I was scammed by a check they they told me was ok to find out they accepted and it was an account that was closed the FBI is investigating these people perpetrating the scam and a company in OK stated that they are the owner of the company on the check but that is not their check the account had been closed months prior. I even verified the check before I put It in Capital One 360's bank account and they told me that if we make it available the next day the funds have cleared. They lied. The account had been closed. Now we are being punished....but they won't tell me why. WE have put over 100,000. dollars in our account in the last 14 months. I have never been overdrawn. They give no explanation to anyone and I cannot even look at my account. I want to go all the way in filing suit against them for doing this to people without cause. I was victim and yet they kick my family when we are down. Police report,FBI report, complaint, cyber board etc have all been filed. They did not even want the police report. They just don't care. I am sickened by the comments I am reading on here. If you are interested in filing a class action with me contact Joy at instarme1@***.com. Thanks so much.

CapitalOne360 terribly run!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Joined CapitalOne360 along with my son to be able to do realtime money transfers to him at college. Then they changed their system to hire an outside site to administer those sorts of things, calling it P2P (payments to another person) and it doesn't matter that the person is also a CapitalOne360 customer. When you click on the link to try to get to the P2P module, it NEVER works right. Endless hourglass. Or under maintenance. Or endless loops of username and password request. I've tried all hours, all days. And their customer service closes at 8 pm, so no way to get any answer if you bank after 8. And worst of all, there is not contact form or email address to customer service. The ONLY way to notify customer service of ANY problem is by telephone during business hours. I'm glad my son is graduating college next semester and we will both quit this place.

Gross Mishandling of My Money

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Tried to open a CD account with Capital One Bank. I was told that if this a Joint Account both owners need be be verified by the Bank before the account could be opened or money deposited. My wife and I both have a Joint checking account with Suntrust Bank and Credit Cards with Capital One Bank. My name and account were both verified by Capital One Bank, but they could not verify my wife's because of a computer problem with Capital One Bank. They transferred money from my checking account and put it ON HOLD until my wife's name could be verified. After 3 hours on the phone, the problem could not be resolved. My request to return my Money was refused until my wife's name could be verified. They plan to hold my money hostage.

Sorry I opened an account

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Cap1-360 was recommended for international use. Meanwhile I live in this country and they hold deposits and transfers way too long.

Over a week for their fancy check by photo app. Then over a week for a simple bank to bank transfer. Then I set up an automatic deposit from my normal account to the youth money account for Mondays, the money is available on the Thursday. (my kid said his allowance got pushed back to the end of the week) So I transferred my money right back out to a real bank.

They cashed my CapitolOne 360 check in half the time it took to make the deposit. Sorry I had anything to do with them.

Inexplicable behavior

I originally was an ING Direct customer and became a CO360 customer after the merger. Everything was great for the entire experience, until today. Five days ago I lowered my checking account balance to $100 & my savings account balances to $0, and put everything else into their new Money Market accounts. Today they closed my account for no further explanation than "a business decision". I tried to get more info, and they would provide none. Between ING and CO, I've been with them likely a decade. Plus, I had A LOT of money in those Money Market account, as it was my cash cushion in case I lose my job, need to buy a car, etc. My guess is they had some automated system cancel the account due to low balances in the checking/savings accounts, which I understand. If they'd sent me an email saying I needed some minimums in those to retain the account, I'd have simply transferred back those amounts. But they give no explanation. It's like a girlfriend who breaks up over text...pathetic.

Capital One 360 Customer Care Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I've spent all day trying to transfer my my money to purchase a car and the bank kept banning me! The customer service was absolutely unhelpful and unprofessional. Garrett (489400) a Principal Coordinator of such unprofessionalism is absolutely useless. The bank just don't want its customers to be happy- no worries, I'll go to the bank with more adequate service.

Same story as others, and boy, am I angry at this bank!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
This sounds like my story. I used to be able to send someone money very easily, especially when the other person had a Capital One account. Now they tell me that Capital One is NOT the same bank as Capital One 360, and the recipient must have a Capital One 360 account in order to use the money transfer option. How *** is that?!? I had been a customer of ING, and found them to be great in the customer service area. Now, when I call, I am put on hold for half an hour, and have to listen to horrible quality recordings of their commercials, trying to sell me more of their "services". No, thanks, I am moving my money elsewhere.

Capital One 360 Sucks

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

After waiting on hold for over 90 minutes I was able to speak to someone who I asked to close my accounts. He told me the accounts would close and the money would be transferred in one business day.

Nothing happened. 2 days later, I'm on hold now going on 60 minutes and still can't speak to someone. I had several accounts until someone attempted to *** into my account and now Capital One has put a hold on my accounts and all of my money and I can't even speak to anyone because they "are working on hiring more people." Are you kidding me you are a national flipping bank.

I had a checking account and a few savings accounts that I was going to cancel, but now I will be rolling over my IRA, closing my credit card, selling my stock, and ceasing my business relationship with Capital One. This is the worst experience I have had since I called the phone/cable company.

This company is just another rich banking scheme, the more account holders, the bigger their holdings and borrowing credit so they can further invest and make even more money. These types of banks know all the loopholes and get away with ripping consumers off. Beware of anything that seems too easy!

Capital One 360 - Checking Account Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I have been a member since 2004. Back when it was ING Direct.

Loved this bank. A person would answer when you called. Not anymore. They put my account on hold because I had recently updated my address and attempted a p2p, person to person payment.

To my mother. In house transfer I've made over 100 times. They did this late on Saturday night when I was 100 miles away from home and fulling up gas. I mean trying to fill up gas.

With my money.

I had to wait all night until they opened. Then I had 2 phone calls that summed over 3 hours before I could access my own money and go home.
