Capital One 360 Savings Account Review from Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts
What a scam- I put over $50,000 dollars in a 360 savings account due to an add about open a new account and get $500 after three months. Well I noticed after 5 months no $500!
When I called they said I didn't qualify. I said - it didn't say anything about being a new costumer and he told me you don't have to be a new costumer just a new savings account costumer. I'm sure this is because their legal team told them they didn't have to post the info on the first page if it is not for all new costumers. I'm sure this is legal but very immoral and not the way to treat a customer that has put in tens of thousands over the last 15 years.
I just pulled out 26,500 today and my CDs will be pulled over time. My wife was about to put in $20,000 and now we will go to bankrate.com and look for a better rate and they are out there.
Also, we plan on selling our house to retire and planned on saving that money- hundreds of thousand. So over $500 and fine print they have lost out on $700-800,000 in their accounts and I'm sure I'm not alone.
Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.
